Company Profile
Brief History AILETS commenced in 1997 as Australian International Legal Exchange & Training Service Pty Ltd (later AILETS Pty Ltd). AILETS has an exceptional 12 year history in Australia-China public relations & media, consultancy, professional exchange and training services. It has undertaken much work for both Chinese and Australian government and public sector organizations as well as the private sector. AILETS’ first projects were judicial exchanges between Australian and Chinese judges, the provision of Australian legal training to Chinese professionals and our work in this capacity is ongoing. AILETS was the Official training supplier for the China National People’s Director of Public Prosecutions and also the Official training supplier for IBM China in the Australasian region for 3 years. AILETS public relations work has also included promotion and public relations work at a semi-diplomatic level for AMP in China. Since 2007 the company has been expanding its inbound work beyond official groups and focussing upon opening up the Chinese tourism market in Australia to include Chinese recreational inbound groups to our wonderful outback and rural Australian destinations. Over recent years AILETS has partnered with the Northern Territory Government’s Tourism NT in the China market. Part of this NT PR work has involved the making of Chinese documentary series filmed in the NT and broadcast to huge audiences both in China and abroad through CCTV (China Central Television) and other networks. CCTV 1 has a global audience of over 1.5 billion and is broadcast to 75 different countries via satellite. The first documentary series produced in conjunction with CCTV “Discovery of the Mystery Land: The Northern Territory” was filmed in July/August 2007 and was broadcast initially in December 2007. It was an outstanding success, resulting in it being broadcast four times on the network reaching an audience of more than 500 million people. Many bookings for travel to the NT directly resulted. The sequel documentary series “Return to the Northern Territory” was filmed in September 2009 and begun broadcast in the Chinese New Year, February 2010. It is currently being shown on CCTV and has an estimated audience of over 800 million. Extensive internet media was employed in both documentary series to find adventurous people to partake in the filming and reflect the point of view & reaction of Chinese nationals to the Outback. 36,000 people applied to take the part of an adventurous person in the 2009 documentary series! In the training field AILETS won a Chinese international tender for Australia to establish a unique Masters of Law course in Australia for Chinese solicitors. This was established at The University of Canberra. AILETS Pty Ltd has a professional management group. Our managers have qualifications in finance, management, language, law, Asian studies, accounting & marketing. All our staff are fluent in both Mandarin and English.
